Bangkok - Old Siam
The “Old Siam” food tour kicks off with an exhilarating ride on one of Bangkok’s water taxis, whisking you along the serene klong canals to a historic district steeped in tradition, community, and culinary delights. As we glided through the water, the anticipation built for the adventure that lay ahead.
Once we arrived, we wandered through a tranquil neighborhood that felt like a hidden gem—where fellow travelers were few and far between. Here, we tackled a century-old food market that has been delighting locals with its hot lunches since 1899. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the tantalizing aromas of authentic Thai cuisine!
Each dish we sampled was nothing short of extraordinary. We even had the chance to chat with some of the local vendors, uncovering the secrets behind their beloved recipes. Their passion for food was infectious, and it was a privilege to learn what makes their dishes so special. This tour is a feast for the senses and a true celebration of Bangkok's rich culinary heritage!

My latest culinary adventure was the “Penang Plates” food tour, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! We kicked things off in the vibrant Little India, right in the heart of Georgetown, and this is truly the ultimate way to dive into Penang’s dynamic culinary scene. As we explored, I was captivated by the incredible flavours and sensations that define Penang’s food landscape. It’s fascinating to see how Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, and Thai dishes all coexist in such close proximity, each one influencing the other in delicious ways. The streets are alive with tantalizing aromas and colorful dishes that tell the story of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Every bite was an exciting journey, showcasing the unique fusion of tastes that make Penang a food lover's paradise. This tour is a feast for the senses, offering not just food but a deep appreciation for the culinary traditions that shape this incredible place!
