Bali Recommendations
My top recommendations for enjoyable things to do while visiting the beautiful island of Bali:
A Local Food Tour
I have learnt that one of the best and most insightful ways to truly see how a city operates is by experiencing the food that the locals eat and discovering where they enjoy dining. Over time, I have become a huge fan of 'A Chef's Tour' and their meticulously organized food tours. These tours are conducted by a knowledgeable local guide and take you away from the crowded, touristy areas, revealing some of the most delicious and authentic local eats. Our memorable food tour took us deep into the heart of Denpasar, allowing us to explore not only where the locals love to eat but also where they shop for their everyday food. This adventure culminated in a wonderful experience walking around the vibrant Denpasar produce markets, where the colours and aromas created a truly immersive experience.
Visit Waterbom Bali Water Park
Take a well-deserved break from the pool and immerse yourself in a high-adrenaline day filled with some of the very best waterslides in all of Asia. Waterbom Bali Water Park is conveniently located in the vibrant heart of Kuta and is easily accessible for all visitors. This exciting destination, Waterbom Bali, boasts more than a dozen thrilling water slides, exhilarating rides, refreshing splash pools, and relaxing meandering rivers, all beautifully set among lush tropical gardens. It truly makes for a fantastic place for adults, big kids, and kids of all ages to have fun and create lasting memories together.
Have brunch in one of the posh cafes in kuta or Canggu
Take an afternoon to leisurely explore some of the delightful cafes that are conveniently located around the vibrant areas of Kuta and Canggu. These spots are known for some of the most aesthetically pleasing and Instagram-worthy brunches imaginable. Many of these artistic dishes look almost too good to eat, making them perfect for snapping photos. If I were to recommend just one place to visit, it would undoubtedly be Coffee Cartel. Their avocado on toast is fresh and delicious, and their coffee is truly to die for!
